Speech and language therapy is a treatment provided by a speech-language therapist (SLT) for people of all ages who have difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking, and swallowing.

Our speech and language therapists work to help children meet their specific speech and language goals, whether that be understanding, pronunciation, etc.

Appointments typically take 60 minutes. Generally, appointments consist of:

  • Assessment of speech (sounds and pronunciation),

language (use and understanding of spoken words, signs and pictures)

  • Assessment of communication skills
  • Modeling activities to promote next stages of

development

  • Play based activities are provided for guardians to use

at home

*Guardian participation is crucial
